"Art has always been a big part of my life. Some of my earliest memories are of drawing and painting and watching colors blend together as I melted crayons on the back of a hot, black, wood burning stove.
I feel fortunate to be able to see beauty all around me; in the human form and in nature's landscapes. I am drawn to simple shapes with high contrast, both in value and in color. I would describe my work as representational and impressionistic, with an abstract quality.
Art is very fulfilling in my life. Every day I paint I feel that all is right with the world and if I don't paint it seems that something is missing."
